From the A9:
A9 to Daviot. B851 to Fort Augustus.
alternatively.
A9 to Inverness. B862 towards Dores.
From the south:
A82 to Fort Augustus. Right turn at Fort Augustus on
to the B862 to Whitebridge.

There is a network of quiet roads in south Loch Ness that are a sheer joy to explore and get around.
A word of advice here, it is a good idea to fill up with petrol/diesel at Inverness or Fort Augustus before travelling down Loch Ness.
