Over the past few years self catering, or, vacation rentals, have become more and more popular as people’s first choice holiday accommodation. This almost certainly must be due to modern labour saving appliances and a huge choice of prepared foods which simply require a few minutes in the microwave, then pop the dishes into the dishwasher, even a man can do that!
So having more time for self and less time catering, during your holiday, coupled with the extra freedom and privacy often associated with self catering, has led to a year on year increase in demand and ultimately, quality of accommodation.
The owners of the self catering accommodation in this section almost all live in the Loch Ness area of the Highlands and there are several members who have self catering cottages and other accommodation in other areas of Loch Ness including Fort Augustus, Drumnadrochit, Lewiston and Glenurquhart.
