Hotel & Guest Houses
There are just a few small select hotels and guest houses at south Loch Ness and some tend to take the form of country inns. Most hotels are open to non residents for accommodation and meals, both formal and informal bar meals. There are some very high quality guesthouses in our members list, as you will see when visiting some of their websites.
For travellers that want the freedom to enjoy their holiday without the worry or work, a guesthouse or hotel is the ideal holiday accommodation for you. It is more expensive than some other forms of accommodation but then you are getting a lot more than just a bed. It is advisable to book at least 24 hours in advance of arrival, especially in the high season if you intend to stay in a guest house on Loch Ness during the summer months because all accommodation is often fully booked.
"What would the world be, once bereft of wet and wildness?
Let them be left, oh let them be left, wildness and wet;
long live the weeds and the wilderness yet”.Gerard Manley Hopkins
