Hazelgrove enjoys an elevated position overlooking Loch Ness, at Inverfarigaig, midway down the south eastern shore of Loch Ness, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Located in a peaceful and tranquil setting, but only 16 miles from the city of Inverness, Hazelgrove is an excellent choice for your holiday in Scotland.

The cottage has a charm all its own, with stunning views over Loch Ness to the famous Urquhart Castle. Traditionally built and clad in cedar shingles, it has a restful atmosphere harmonising naturally in its woodland setting on the edge of the Farigaig forest. The kids and the dogs will love it, and, with a secure fenced garden to the cottage, you can relax with peace of mind. The veranda is for evenings - to watch the sun go down over Loch Ness, perhaps enjoyed with a wee dram.
Miles of waymarked trails meander through the forest, to some of the finest viewpoints of Loch Ness or it is only a 5 minute walk down to the shores of the loch, to picnic or enjoy an hour of quiet fishing. But if you simply just want to relax, enjoy the most famous loch in Scotland, dominated by the slopes of Meall Fuar-mhonaidh, the highest peak on the lochside.
Several eating places are close by in the village of Foyers, with a post office, shop and cafe in the village centre. Steep footpaths lead down to the famous Falls of Foyers waterfall, possibly the most photographed place on Loch Ness apart from perhaps, Urquhart Castle, so be sure to take your camera.
To help you plan your days and check out directions or opening times of the range of attractions in the area, a PC is available free of charge. You may also like to keep in touch by e mail with friends and family back home. Alternatively, as Wireless internet access is available, you may prefer to use y our own lap top.
