Horseshoe Cottage is a recently converted one hundred year old steading now providing superb self- catering accommodation for up to four people.From its elevated position the property has unique panoramic views across Inverness to the Kessock Bridge, and over the Moray Firth to the Black Isle.The cottage is situated on Achvraid Farm, surrounded by peace and solitude, with sheep grazing in the fields visited occasionally by Red and Roe Deer, and quite undisturbed by the swallows showing off their flying skills overhead.
Unbelievably, just a few minutes drive down the lane, is the City of Inverness with all the attractions and facilities one would expect to find in the Capital of the Highlands. Here all the major roads from North, South, East and West converge, so travelling to any destination is so easy.The train station is in the town centre and the airport is just 20 minutes away.As you enter the cottage, the well-lit porch leads into a lounge with comfortable seating, TV, DVD, Radio/CD System, books and games, and a view across the fields to the distant hills. A cloakroom and the well equipped kitchen/dining area with a fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave and a washer/dryer machine complete the ground floor accommodation. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, one with a king size bed, the other with, either a twin, or double, which ever is required. A cot and high chair are available. There is a light and airy bathroom, with a shower over the bath. The cottage has under-floor heating, with radiators to the 1st floor. There is a small garden which is fenced and a parking area beside the cottage. Although dogs are a delight , only one very well behaved dog can be accepted and kept on the lead, due to the animals around, but don't despair, there are beautiful walks down Torbreck Lane, and Tomfat Woods, close by.
Horseshoe Cottage has a non-smoking policy.
The cottage is let on a Saturday to Saturday basis and the weekly prices range from £375 to £595 depending on the time of year. Short breaks may be available upon request.
